  4. I have a question. My registered domain title was stolen by one "Desi Jumiati," who has set up camp at Blogger and taken over 55 blog names, then dumped a truckload of posts in them. I've located a number of her other victims, but Blogger refuses to do anything about her (though the did give me an email addy for their legal department). Any suggestions for getting rid of this vermin?

  5. Where exactly should I insert the code to disable right-click? When you say "insert inside < head > do you mean, within the two greater than/less than brackets? Or just within that section?

    This is probably obvious to all the computer-literate folks, but I am a newbie. Thanks again for this! I'm having the same problem as Norma mentioned above. Very pissed about it.

    2. You can try the code within the 'HTML/JAVASCRIPT" gadget area after first adding an "HTML/JAVASCRIPT' gadget under the header area of your blog within your blogs' dashboard. You will have to do this for each and every blog you have on Blogger.com, if you have more than 1 blog on Blogger.com. However, what you should note is that the code doesn't stop people from copying content via left-clicking next to the content they want to copy, dragging the mouse over that content, and then pressing 'CONTROL-C' to copy that content. The code, while ingenius, still cannot completely prevent content from being copied (I should know because on top of being a writer, I am am a programmer (by hobby, for now).

  6. I tried the second fix with the alternate way to copy CSS codes, and it didn't work. Did I do something wrong? Does it matter what order you put them in? I did the first one with moz user etc., in the text box, then the one to disable right click in the line below. Should I have done it differently?

    5. The simplest way is log in blogger------>Layout----->Add a gadget---->HTML/JavaScript---> paste the code:

      [script type="text/javascript"].......remove [ ]replace with<>
      var omitformtags=["input", "textarea", "select"]
      omitformtags=omitformtags.join("|")
      function disableselect(e){
      if (omitformtags.indexOf(e.target.tagName.toLowerCase())==-1)
      return false
      }
      function reEnable(){
      return true
      }
      if (typeof document.onselectstart!="undefined")
      document.onselectstart=new Function ("return false")
      else{
      document.onmousedown=disableselect
      document.onmouseup=reEnable
      }
      [/script]....remove [ ]replace with<>

      Save.

      Then drag/move/place the gadget under Blog Posts widget.

      I hope it will work out well for you

      Enjoy!

  9. nice tip..I've tried its before but it's really unfriendly...it's disable the entire page 'right click' function and it is supposed to more specific for protecting something that we wanted like an image only. What if people can't right click to the link to open for new tab. I hope there could be a better tip out there. However tq for sharing your tip.
